Our client is a highly regarded, multi-office consultancy with one of the finest reputations in the business.

Due to the high, and sustained level of development planning projects with a range of blue chip clients, a tremendous opportunity has now arisen for a person to join their transport planning team at Senior Associate level. This is a high level appointment within our client's Manchester office, where they seek an ambitious, hard working individual who is genuinely keen to progress further to the very top of their management team within a few years.

Candidates must be degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant subject. Chartered status, in addition, would be ideal. Extensive experience gained in development planning (transport) is essential, which must include managing and providing the technical input into transport assessments, travel plans, access strategies, etc.  A detailed knowledge of the transport aspect of the planning system, and an understanding of operational assessment software, is essential.

Project and financial management experience is also required, with experience gained in team management and the mentoring of the more junior members. You must be capable of producing clear, high quality technical reports and client proposals.

Business development experience is important, and although not essential, a strong knowledge of the development market in the North West and North East of England would be ideal.

Excellent spoken and written English skills are essential, and you must be able to communicate at all levels.

The commencing basic salary, which is negotiable, is expected to be in the region of £70-80,000 p.a., plus a generous car allowance, bi-annual bonuses, private family healthcare, pension contribution, professional subscriptions etc., etc.
