SENIOR TRANSPORT PLANNER
Our clients' dynamic transport planning team seek a Senior Transport Planner to join them and work on a wide range of interesting projects covering the retail, commercial and residential sectors, plus development frameworks.
Candidates for this position will be degree qualified, and have gained solid experience in transport development planning, and be capable of preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans for a wide range of development projects.
The work will also include Access Strategies, Sustainable Transport, Parking Strategies, and Section 106 and 278 Agreements. A sound knowledge of NPPF, Manual for Streets, DfT Transport Assessment guidelines etc. is essential.
Experience should have been gained in the setting up and running of Junctions 9 (ARCADY, PICADY), LinSig, TRICS etc., and you should be confident in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word. A knowledge of GIS would be helpful, as would a knowledge of junction design, and some understanding of strategic and micro-simulation modelling/models would be useful.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary for this position.
In addition to the above, you will assist in the mentoring and management of the more junior members of the team.

The salary is negotiable, but expected to be in the range of £35-42,000 p.a., plus flexible working, and a range of excellent benefits.
