If you are after a new and exciting challenge, and want to make a meaningful difference for Buckinghamshire’s communities, then Buckinghamshire County Council has just the role for you.

ABOUT THE ROLE
What will our transport network look like in the future? You’ll help us decide.

We are looking for a recent graduate to support a range of exciting projects which will help shape the future of transportation across the County. You will be a key part of a high performing and enthusiastic team in a forward looking organisation. Buckinghamshire County Council is a leader in flexible working and is becoming more agile, commercial and digitally-focussed. Primarily based at our offices in Aylesbury, it will be your job to provide the recommendations and guidance that will shape our transport policies and strategies. By undertaking research and talking to partners, you’ll amass the knowledge and insight we need to make big decisions. Working with key partners and communities across Buckinghamshire, you will help develop and bring forward elements of the County Council’s aspirational walking and cycling network and support our input to major projects around the County, including the Oxford – Cambridge Expressway and Aylesbury Garden Town.

ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for a recent graduate who is keen to make a difference, develop professionally and help shape the future of Buckinghamshire. You’ll quick to understand, eager to explore new challenges and able to communicate complex information with ease. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills and will be great with people – influencing and building relationships with a variety of contacts. Experience or detailed knowledge in the transportation field is not essential but you be able to manage a busy workload to deliver great results. Experience working with consultants, stakeholders and/or politicians would be helpful.

Other Information
