Salary: £31,401 - £38,052 per annum
Contract type: Permanent, full time position working 37 hours per week
Location: Chichester area
Are you an experienced Senior Transport Planner? Come and join our Planning Services department and help make a difference to the lives of the residents within West Sussex.
You will develop transport policies and improvements which help to achieve the key priorities set out in the Future West Sussex Plan and the objectives of the West Sussex Transport Plan in close liaison with other highways, transport and planning teams. Applying extensive knowledge and experience of transport planning, project management and report writing, you will be able to understand impacts on the transport system and develop policies and plans for improvements. You will have a particular focus on developing plans at the conceptual/feasibility stage and using transport planning tools to prepare well evidenced business cases which effectively articulate the case for investment.
What you need to succeed:
We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and experience of transport planning, including development of transport policies, infrastructure and service improvements and/or understanding and mitigating the impacts of development. You must be able to build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders such as local planning authorities and developers and be able to influence others in order to make a positive contribution to the quality of life in our communities.
