Transport development in Leeds is moving at a fast pace with a pipeline of major investments with over £500 million worth of projects including new public transport investments, highways, active travel and city centre place making preparing for a future which includes HS2. There has never been a better time to shape the city for the transport challenges economic growth and a rising population are bringing.
To meet these demands the Council is seeking an experienced transport professional and team player with a track record of delivery and achievement to lead a Transport Strategy team working in a large multi-disciplinary directorate and alongside key partners to provide essential direction to our policies and programmes.
The role will oversee transport planning professionals looking after planning; policy; and a portfolio of projects. To meet our requirements you will be a graduate with strong management potential who is able to demonstrate high level communication, strategic thinking and analytical skills.
