Both posts are within the Contracts, Procurement and Programme Delivery Team in the Major Transport Infrastructure Projects Directorate and responsibilities will focus on the delivery of the procurement and construction of the A9 Dualling.

 

Transport Scotland is responsible for the delivery of a number of major projects, the majority of which are high value/high risk. Major Transport Infrastructure Projects Directorate has full responsibility for procuring and delivering a large share of the Ministers’ programme of motorway and trunk road projects. The Directorate also leads on the delivery of specialist advice to Senior Civil Service and Ministers on a wide range of particularly complex and sensitive contractual and commercial issues. Specific roles include managing high value and high risk construction projects and programmes, and representing Ministers in a number of formal and informal dispute resolution proceedings including mediation, adjudication and litigation.

 

The current salary range for these posts is £46,889 – £57,503 (pro rata for part time). The role also currently attracts an annual pay supplement of £3000 (pro rata for part time). Supplements are subject to regular review.
