Senior Transport Officer (Network & Community)

£33,160 - £36,254 per year

The Highland Council’s Transport Co-ordination Unit manages public, community and school transport across an area larger than Wales, with a population of 233,000. A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Transport Officer (Network & Community).
The successful candidate will have a lead role, under the direction of the Principal Transport Officer, in developing and expanding community participation in transport matters, including support for community transport, as well as developing and adapting the Council’s supported bus network, information and infrastructure provision.
You will require a significant level of past experience in transport, in a Council, commercial or voluntary sector environment, and experience of community engagement or partnership working. Ideally you will have a degree in a relevant discipline or a professional qualification.
