Alex Burrows (Pictured) has left consultant Atkins, where he was client director for DfT and central government, to become marketing and strategy director at Alstom.
Tony Sheach has joined Mott MacDonald as a director in its integrated transport division. He joins from AECOM where he was a director in strategic planning and advisory.
James Finch has joined consultant JMP as an associate director from Highways England where he was land use manager.
Centro has appointed Pete Bond director of transport services, succeeding Stephen Rhodes who has joined Transport for Greater Manchester as customer operations director (LTT?11 Dec 15). Bond was Centro’s head of network delivery.
AECOM has appointed Paul McCormick as managing director for transportation, UK & Ireland and Continental Europe. He is a chartered civil engineer who joined AECOM in 2012 to lead its UK highways & bridges business. Since 2014 he has been managing director for highways & bridges across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.
Trevor Brennan has joined Steer Davies Gleave as an associate in its planning team, to develop behaviour change and travel demand management services. He joins from Luton Borough Council where he was a strategy and sustainability manager, leading the council’s cycling and walking projects.
Stuart Kay has joined consultant Atkins as a road safety consultant from AECOM where he was a principal engineer.
Network Rail has appointed Susan Cooklin route services director, a new role overseeing the supply of services to NR’s eight regional business units. The route services directorate provide services to the units, including group business services (IT, payroll and finance); the national supply chain (delivering engineering trains); and Network Rail Consulting. Cooklin was NR’s group chief information officer and director of shared services.
Peter Brett Associates has made Dougie McDonald a partner, overseeing its Scottish offices. Stagecoach Group has promoted Tim Shoveller to managing director of UK rail from managing director of South West Trains.
