Campopiano joins WSP from SYSTRA

Stephen Campopiano (pictured) has joined consultant WSP as an associate director from SYSTRA where he was lead manager for local transport planning in Scotland. 

Bridges is Arup’s cities director

Tom Bridges is leaving his post as chief officer for economy and regeneration at Leeds City Council to join Arup as director of cities advisory.

Holden leaves Cambridge access post

Hilary Holden has left the Greater Cambridge Partnership where she was team leader for the city access proposals of the Greater Cambridge City Deal. She took up the post last summer and was responsible for overseeing proposals such as a workplace parking levy and the now abandoned access control scheme (LTT 22 Jul 16). Holden is now a freelance consultant and campaigner for Vision Zero in Cambridge.

Shaw leads WMCA’s network resilience

Anne Shaw is now director of network resilience at the West Midlands Combined Authority. She was assistant director of transportation and connectivity at Birmingham City Council. 

Van der Velde heads West Midlands rail

Jan Chaudhry-van der Velde has been appointed managing director of West Midlands Trains, the company that will take over the West Midlands rail franchise on 10 December. He joins from Merseyrail, where he has been managing director since 2015. Andy Heath has been appointed Merseyrail’s new managing director. He had been deputy managing director since 2012.

Lamonte is president of EMTA

Transport for Greater Manchester’s chief executive, Jon Lamonte, has been appointed the new president of the European Metropolitan Transport Authorities.  

Murdoch joins Landor LINKS

Darryl Murdoch has joined Landor LINKS as client partnership manager. He moves from Metropolis International Publishing, where he specialised in the tourism and leisure sectors.
