Suzanne Grant has been appointed Interim Managing Director of Merseyrail until April 2027. She will take on the position while the current Managing Director, Neil Grabham, undertakes an interim assignment as Managing Director at East Midlands Railway.
Grant joined the organisation as Marketing Manager in 2012 and has since held a number of senior roles, including Commercial Director, before becoming Chief Commercial Officer and Deputy Managing Director in 2024.
She has worked with colleagues at the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority on major customer-focused improvements, including the launch of Tap & Go across the City Region in 2025.
Grant said: “My focus for the next eight months will be on providing stability and continuity for our people, our passengers and our partners, while continuing to build on the progress already being made across the network.”
