Do you want to help shape the future of Hertfordshire’s local bus network?

Hertfordshire as a County will be required to embrace the opportunities offered by future developments within its boundary and beyond. In this role you will seek to maximise contributions from Developers of new developments, integrating improvements into the wider network and overseeing the development of bus services from initial planning application to operation of the first bus.

In this post, you will need to engage with all those involved in the planning process, including Officers and Members at both the Local Planning Authority and at county level; Developers and their consultants and bus industry Officers and Representatives. You will be part of a small and enthusiastic team dedicated to developing the County’s bus service network.

We are looking for you to have experience in planning and costing local bus services either for a company or Local Authority.

A broad understanding of the planning process would also be desirable.

With the expected increase in vehicular traffic related to future developments in the County, your role will ensure we are in the best position to grow the bus network and enable modal shift.
