Job Title: Transport Partnership Manager
We seek an experienced transport professional to manage and develop the council’s emerging Enhanced Bus Partnership and the delivery of Enhanced Partnership Schemes from April 2022. As part of the Transportation Services Senior Management Team you will work closely with the Transportation Services Group Manager and Transport Commissioning Manager to deliver the expectations of the Government’s National Bus Strategy, including supporting the post-Covid recovery of the commercial bus sector and delivering the aspirations set out in the council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan. Additionally, you will have specific responsibility for the management of the council’s Medibus Call Centre, together with the delivery of strategic support to the community transport sector and the development of new demand responsive transport services.
Experience of partnership working and project/scheme management at a senior level is essential as are excellent ICT skills together with an awareness of new technologies and a sound working knowledge of the bus and community transport sectors. Experience of planning business continuity strategies with a specific focus on planning for the service’s response to future emergency situations is also required.
Based at Beverley Depot for 37 hours per week.
