Salary range: £30,024 - £31,683 p.a. inc.
Contract: Permanent
Hours of work: 36 hours per week
Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time

The Post
This post is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with highway experience to further themselves and gain an understanding of planning and development from a highway authority perspective. Brent is undergoing a phenomenal change due to the growth being experienced in London. We are looking for an assistant engineer to be part of a team that works closely with planning officers on small scale planning applications to mitigate impacts on the existing highway network and ensure safe movement and accessibility to services for all across the borough.
In addition to this, also manage requests for information relating to land charges and highway searches.
The Person
We are looking for someone who has good AutoCad or GIS skills. Preferably you will have some experience or knowledge of highway design relating to new development.
To join the team you will need to demonstrate you have the ability to communicate clearly as well as being organised and able to manage legal, technical and sensitive matters in a timely way. Have the resolve to manage conflicting priorities and deliver the best outcomes.
