Senior Transport Planner Development Control

Planning land use and transport is fundamental to our way of life in Jersey. Effective management of the impact of new developments on an Island with finite space and a historic road network is key to delivering our strategic policies.

You’ll play a vital part in island life by supporting developers, consultants, architects, Parishes, and the planning authority in responding to planning applications and managing the delivery of safe and sustainable transport projects.

Leading a small team of transport planners, you’ll be responsible for the timely delivery of customer service, negotiate planning obligation agreements and provide business support to internal teams for the success of larger projects.

We need an innovative and entrepreneurial individual with a keen eye for identifying bespoke sustainable transport solutions.

You should have experience working transport planning projects, education to degree level and an academic foundation in transport planning or highway engineering.

Having or working toward Chartered Transport Planning Professional or a Highways or Civil Engineering professional qualification will support progressing in the role.
