Transport Strategy Manager
Transport for the South East
£48,974 - £53,518
2 year fixed term
Transport for the South East is the sub-national transport body for the South East of England. Our partnership brings together 16 local transport authorities, five local enterprise partnerships, 46 district and borough authorities and a range of wider stakeholders from the worlds of transport, business and the environment. Together, we’re dedicated to creating an integrated and sustainable transport system that makes the South East more productive and competitive, improves the quality of life for all our residents and protects and enhances our unique natural and built environment.
Our thirty-year strategy sets out how investment in better, more sustainable transport can help grow our region’s economy, create new jobs, increase opportunity and quality of life and hit net-zero carbon emissions.
We are recruiting for a key role to help us on the next stage of the journey and to support the development of our strategic investment plan for the South East. As a team we work flexibly with the role based within the South East.
Our new transport strategy manager will lead the development and delivery of key elements of our technical programme as we work towards our strategic investment plan. This will set out a thirty-year investment pipeline for the South East, making a compelling case for public and private investment in our region.
To support this, you will lead one or more of the recently commissioned area studies, identifying the specific interventions required to help us achieve our vision. You will also manage the development of a freight, logistics and gateways strategy, which is crucial for economic growth in the South East and across the UK.
For the Transport Strategy Manager, you will require extensive knowledge and experience in the field of transport planning.
If you believe you have what it takes and want to be part of shaping this organisation, we want to hear from you.
