Salary: £37,724 to £40,506 with a Market Forces supplement of an additional £7,084.
A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Transport Planner with good negotiation and communications skills looking to advance their career in Development Management. You will be working with a small, friendly and enthusiastic team responding to a wide variety of planning applications from across the County.
The post will be responsible for providing Highway recommendations on major planning applications to the relevant Planning Authorities within Worcestershire. You will be responsible for leading on all highway elements of the process which will include liaising with applicants and their agents on the highways aspects of their proposals and negotiating appropriate mitigation measures and s106 financial contributions. The post will also be expected to liaise and advise internally and externally on Development Management matters as they relate to the development of Local Plans working closely with colleagues within the Planning Authorities.
