Principal Engineer - Traffic

Waltham Forest is a diverse energetic Council with a proven record of delivering high quality infrastructure in the public environment. Following the success of the £27 million Mini-Holland investment programme into walking and cycling infrastructure, we want to continue investing in the road network and make it an excellent place to walk and cycle.

The Highways and Traffic Management Service are recruiting highly motivated Principal Engineers to continue the delivery of a wide range of traffic, highways, parking, and public realm improvements, often of significant value, from inception through to final delivery in accordance with Council procedures.

The successful candidate will have proven ability in supporting various project delivery activities on a day-to-day basis, including issue resolution, progress reporting, risk management, budget management and on-schedule achievement of project deliverables.
You will also need to be a concise and a clear communicator with the ability to talk and present to a range of audiences and have good report writing and IT skills.
