Our transport networks represent the council's largest physical asset, with a road network of approximately 2,300 kilometres (including 3 Roman Roads), the City Walls in Chester and numerous public rights of way. We are re-aligning how our infrastructure plays its part in our case for change and Active Travel networks are at the heart of this. You will have responsibility for Chester's Park & Ride and will chair the Enhanced Partnership Bus Board gathering support and engagement on our bus strategy.

Responsible for approximately 75 staff across a diverse portfolio that includes rail, bus, active travel, decarbonisation, transport commissioning and strategic transport - you will be a strong leader who is able to ensure that the needs of our residents and climate are reflected in our transport plan. We have committed, high performing customer focussed teams who can deliver against agreed targets and KPIs.
