About the Role
Royal Greenwich is seeking a strong leader to be our Head of Parking to manage daily operations, lead transformation efforts, meet financial goals, stabilise services.
The job entails acting as the Lead Directorate Manager for Parking Services, overseeing the continuous improvement of parking services through strategic planning, effective resource management, and technology utilisation. This involves collaboration with partners, meeting targets within budget, and managing a team of up to 60 staff members.
Responsibilities include delivering various parking services such as enforcement, permit issuance, and revenue collection while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
The role involves recruiting, training, and leading staff dispersed across different locations, fostering a skilled and adaptable workforce.
About You
We’re looking for a strong and highly motivated leader, who is a team player with energy and a strong commitment to probity, honesty and openness, treating people consistently, fairly and with respect.
You’ll have comprehensive knowledge of the environmental and regeneration issues facing the borough and the ability to interpret, model and articulate a strong strategic vision for service quality and continuous improvement.
Able to understand complex policy issues and present them to a range of stakeholders, you’ll have excellent communication skills – written, presentational, in negotiations. With strong leadership skills, you’ll bring the ability to both lead and support while maintaining high levels of accountability throughout the organisation.
