An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Highway Asset Management Team within Major Projects & Infrastructure at Hull City Council.
We are seeking candidates with a Civil Engineering or Highways background who can assist the Manager-Highway Assets in overseeing the delivery of the annual carriageway and footway planned maintenance programmes, ensuring efficient maintenance of the highway network in Hull. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manger-Highways Assets and other professional staff across the Council to deliver a highway capital programme that will facilitate asset improvement and support associated city-wide regeneration plans. They will also engage with a range of stakeholders, including residents, businesses and Portfolio Holders.
The role of the Highway Infrastructure Engineer will involve the production of detailed construction briefs for issue to the Design and Commissioning Team. Providing sound, technical support and guidance throughout the scheme procurement and delivery stage. Playing a lead role in delivering a number of proactive maintenance programmes undertaken on both the footway and carriageway network. Assisting the Manager-Highway Assets with obtaining and interrogating annual condition data to produce current and future planned maintenance programmes. Providing technical guidance and instructions to internal and external stakeholders ensuring the integrity of the highway asset is maintained.
