About the Role

As the Transport and Growth Manager you will set the policy agenda for transport and movement in the county to meet our ambitions for growth in Lincolnshire.  You will need a passion for the place agenda, an enthusiasm for future mobility and the challenges and disruption that we face. This year your team will drive the development of a new local transport plan, input to the authority's emerging Green Masterplan, support infrastructure delivery planning; develop funding bids and much more.

About the Team

The team has a strong track record of shaping policy within the authority - requiring the need to be able to network and work collaboratively across Greater Lincolnshire. You will also work with national and regional partners, including: East Midlands Councils, Midlands Connect and DfT.

As the Transport and Growth Manager, you will need to be able to contribute to the wider Planning for Growth agenda which is responding to the vision for Greater Lincolnshire in 2050. Future and current challenges including: decarbonisation, digitisation, rurality, health and wellbeing, clean growth, resilience, place, will all shape our vision for Lincolnshire's future mobility.

The team drives transport and mobility policy work for the County Council - recently restructured into a Growth environment this team leader role will need to think about the strategic role of transport in enabling growth and will work collaboratively across the authority to drive infrastructure improvements and the drive for future mobility.

About You

As the Transport and Growth Manager you will have ambition to lead and change – challenging the status quo through collaboration with a variety of colleagues; acting with diplomacy at all times.

With your technical experience you will have the ability to think broadly about the Place agenda in the context of future growth and mobility.

The position is full time however, flexibility could be discussed.
