We are looking for a talented individual to lead major projects and develop business as a key member of our Economics and Business Case practice.

 

We are a growing Practice working on high profile exciting opportunities such as Crossrail 2, East West Rail and Highways England’s major Road Investment Programme. You will be helping us capitalise on extensive investment in transport infrastructure, unlocking work from clients and leading teams to deliver high quality outputs. The role includes:

  • Leading a portfolio of complex multi-disciplinary economics and business case projects and bids
  • Developing relationships with key clients and inputting to technical debate across the industry
  • Helping to lead and develop a strong performing economics technical capability
  • Developing innovative approaches to capturing transport’s impact on the economy and people

Looking at complex projects from every angle, you’ll help our customers to find the best solutions, and gain funding, for their transport challenges. Working with local authorities, the DfT, Highways England and more, we analyse and appraise all kinds of schemes from new highways and railways to bus rapid transit and transport technology projects. We advise on everything from project costs and benefits to the best options and new ways to unlock investment, grounded on the application of robust, innovative and insightful analytical techniques.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who demonstrates:

  • Proven track record leading teams to deliver high quality economics and transport planning work
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively, understanding and meeting client requirements, generating new work
  • Expert knowledge of transport economic appraisal techniques, tools and guidance
  • Expert knowledge of business and funding case delivery and “case-making” for transport investments
  • Ability to confidently champion technical approaches with clients and key industry stakeholders
  • Experience of successful commercial / financial management of projects
  • Demonstrated success in leading the preparation of method statements, bids and/or client communication and marketing material
