We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual to take on the role of Senior Communications Officer and CRM Executive to be part of delivering our ambitious, multi-million-pound programme of activity.
Solent Transport is delivering the Solent region’s Future Transport Zone; a blend of innovative transport and infrastructure trials designed to transform the way people and cargo move around the Solent region. As one of only four regions in the UK to be awarded FTZ Programme funding by the Department for Transport, our £28.8M allocation means we are the best funded Future Transport Zone in the country and are set to deliver several world firsts in the realm of public mobility and sustainable logistics. The projects within the programme are grouped into two key themes, focused around Theme 1 – Personal Mobility (Bike Share, Dynamic Demand Responsive Transit trials, Mobility Credits trial, E-Scooter, Mobility as a Service/Grow SolentGo) and Theme 2 – Sustainable Urban Logistics (Micro Consolidation, Macro Consolidation and Drone Logistics projects). To support the delivery of these project an integrated marketing and communications strategy has been developed and will be implemented in parallel with each theme. All projects are required to be delivered by June 2025.

About this role:
We are looking for a highly proactive and organised individual to work with the Marketing Communications Manager in the Future Transport Zone (FTZ) Marketing Communications work area. In addition to supporting the delivery of an overarching behaviour changing marketing communications strategy and the complementary marketing communications with each project within Themes 1 and 2 (noted above) this role will have specific responsibility for the CRM associated with the Mobility as a Service project.
You will be an experienced marketing communications professional and/or have significant experience of delivering marketing communications interventions across different topics. You will be experienced in determining target audiences, specifying communications channels, devising appropriate messaging and scoping creative content. A high level of written English is required with a good eye for detail. You will have experience of helping to deliver integrated marketing communications projects. Experience in developing, delivering and monitoring CRM communications strategies and campaigns is an advantage and experience with the Braze CRM platform is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering marketing communications activity that is evidence based and customer focused, successfully achieving objectives, making sure evaluation mechanisms are in place and return on investment is maximised. You will be able to work with minimum supervision, be a self-starter and work well within a hybrid team environment. It is essential for you to be flexible, be able to work under pressure and collaboratively with partners and suppliers. You will work alongside an experienced technical team, who continue to deliver a number of high profile projects in the Solent region.
