Engineer – Hatfield

This is a full time vacancy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineer to join our Hatfield office, working within Hertfordshire County Council’s Major Projects Group which develops and implements major highway projects. The team also deliver station improvement projects working with Network Rail, Train Operating Companies, bus operators and local stakeholders to improve transport interchange at train stations in the County.

The successful candidate will be able to lead a small multi-disciplinary team and project manage small/medium sized schemes. They will adhere to APM and Our Way project management principles; apply technical understanding and translate it into engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Complex projects/programmes are delivered successfully to time, quality and budget.
• Ensure project risks are foreseen and managed.
• Project manage small multi-disciplinary teams, projects or tasks.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships within the Whole Client Service through communication and excellent service delivery.
