We have an exciting opportunity to work with the Traffic Management, Road Safety and Highway Adoptions Team in the Transport for Warrington Business Unit of the Economic Regeneration, Growth & Environment Directorate.
This role will work across a multi-functional team including Traffic Management, Collision Investigation, Road Safety Improvement, Public Rights of Way, Highways Adoptions, Street Naming and Numbering, and the School, Crossing Patrol service. The team functions have a strong emphasis on providing the safe and efficient movement of all users of Warrington’s roads and Public Rights of Way.
The post holder will work closely with the lead officers in each of the team functions and other colleagues in the Transport for Warrington teams. The main aspect of the work is to investigate and respond to request for services, manage systems for recording and tracking responses to enquiries and producing performance information, and supporting processes for efficient work programming. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team delivering highway and Public Rights of Way improvements to meet the needs of Warrington’s communities and providing technical and professional support to revenue and capital work programmes.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and IT skills and have an ability to organise workloads around tight deadlines. Previous experience in highway or transportation related activities is desirable.
