About the role
As a Senior Transport Planner, you’ll make an impact across various activities to develop planning and transport policies and strategies, and support compliance.
You’ll lead on the development of transport planning policy for rail, including stakeholder liaison, funding applications and strategic planning. You will also support the Transport Planning Team Manager on a range of other policy and strategy development tasks which may include supporting the development of Gloucestershire’s Local Transport Plan.
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings political awareness, has an interest in rail, and holds either a qualification or the equivalent experience in Transport Planning, Planning Policy, or a related subject. As a strategic thinker, you’re able to handle complex work. You have good presentation and report writing skills with the ability to meet deadlines. In addition, you have some knowledge of relevant planning legislation and policies at national, regional, and local level.
To be successful in your application, it’s important that you bring a good understanding about planning processes and researching and analysing information. You also have some knowledge about rail policies and best practice.
