Tees Valley Combined Authority

Transport Planning Officer (project delivery) – 2 posts

Who is Tees Valley Combined Authority?
Tees Valley Combined Authority was created in April 2016. Our purpose is to drive economic growth and job creation in the area. Under the devolution deal with Government, we have taken on responsibilities previously held by Westminster and Whitehall; for transport, infrastructure, skills, business investment and culture & tourism with associated devolved funding.

Our vision
The Tees Valley Strategic Transport Plan 2020 – 2030 sets out our ambition to deliver a world-class transport system in Tees Valley to underpin our aspirations. Our Investment Plan sets out our £256.7m programme of activity to transform transport in Tees Valley. We are striving to be at the forefront of innovation on transport as shown recently as we became the first area in the country to trial e-scooters.

The role
You will take a lead role on a number of projects within the Integrated Transport Programme to make this vision a reality. This will involve taking ownership of projects from concept through to implementation and offers a real opportunity to deliver tangible outcomes.

Duration
The duration of the fixed-term contract is initially three years. However, there may be potential to extend this contract length and/or other opportunities within the Combined Authority.

Location
The employment base will be the Combined Authority office in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees. However, it is anticipated that there will be a balance of home and office working.

Salary
£33,799 - £35,934

What are we looking for?
