Ben Still has been appointed managing director of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. He will join in the New Year from Sheffield City Region Combined Authority, where he is executive director. Still has worked for the DfT and consultants Steer Davies Gleave, Arup, and David Simmonds.
Sustrans England director Carl Pittam has joined Steer Davies Gleave as an associate based in London, where he will develop the firm's active travel and urban realm capabilities.

Stephen Herriott has been appointed head of infrastructure and transportation at Dumfries and Galloway Council and interim lead officer of SWestrans, the South West Scotland regional transport partnership. Harry Thomson, the previous lead officer of SWestrans, has been appointed the council's head of civic and local services.
