About The Team
The Transport Planning & Road Safety team deals with a wide range of transport planning issues such as assessing the transport implications of new development; road safety education; developing the council’s transport strategy; working with schools to promote behaviour change and road safety; and promoting walking and cycling.
Recently graduated with a relevant first degree or masters qualification, or with equivalent relevant practical experience, you are keen to start your career in transport. You will have a broad knowledge of the transport planning context in London, the tenets of good highway and public realm design and some of the challenges associated with managing competing demands for road space. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will be confident meeting and dealing with the public. You have the ability to work on a wide range of projects quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision. Above all you will be passionate about working collaboratively as part of an innovative team to achieve our challenging targets to improve safety, reduce traffic related pollution and promote increases in sustainable travel modes.

Minimum degree/comparable qualification or commensurate experience.
