Leeds is a dynamic and changing city with a vibrant city centre. Leeds has bounced back from the recession and is now growing strongly, with major development projects underway. With a wide choice of housing and some of England’s finest countryside nearby, it is an exciting place to live and work.
One of the England’s largest local authorities with an established reputation for transport innovation, we are currently developing a long-term strategic approach to transport in the city. This will maximise the benefits of the West Yorkshire Transport Fund, as well as transformational schemes such as HS2 and TransNorth. We are seeking enthusiastic and committed people with a strong interest in transport planning.
These positions offer an excellent opportunity to start, or develop a career in transport planning. The role will involve all aspects of transport planning and multi-disciplinary project work, ranging from policy analysis and presentation through project development and management to modelling and project appraisal. A relevant degree is essential and opportunities will be provided for further training, including study for a postgraduate qualification.
We promote diversity and want a workforce that reflects the population of Leeds.
