Suffolk County Council has high ambitions for delivering sustainable economic growth across Suffolk, including the transport infrastructure necessary to support it. We have secured £150 million of government funding for two large transport schemes - new crossings of Lake Lothing in Lowestoft and of the Orwell in Ipswich in the period up to 2020/21. These will be transformational projects for the local economies and we need exceptional people to help us to deliver them.
We are looking for a project manager with substantial experience in highways and structures to lead the design and delivery of this £97 million project to provide three new bridges that will help to bring forward the further regeneration and development of the Waterfront area of Ipswich, the county town of Suffolk. You will work alongside the Consenting Manager to lead an in-house team and external consultants to deliver this project within budget and to a very demanding and complex programme.
It is anticipated that interviews will be held in August 2016.
