Grade K SP1-4 £34,550 - £40,005 per annum
Based in Leeds City Centre

Do you have a passion for improving places and the environment, and in particular for improving the experience of how people move within and between places?
Do you have a background in transport policy, transport engineering, geography, land use planning, urban regeneration or environmental sciences, in the public, private or third sector – and experience in improving passenger conditions and planning for rail, buses, active travel, roads and future mobility and aligning transport investment to enhancing the quality of places and of people’s lives?

We can offer an important role that will support the work of the Transport Policy and Economic Policy Teams of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
The post will primarily work on transport policy and strategy – but will also work across a number of thematic areas and align transport with our objectives on housing, sustainability and economic development. The post will lead in developing policies, and initiatives including developing policy proposals, appraising strategy options and coordinating projects, working with a wide variety of stakeholders. Ideally you should have some relevant experience in policy and strategy development and a strong understanding of transport’s wider role in supporting local economies and labour mobility and the regeneration, improvements and growth of places.
