£36,171 - £47,175 per annum

Working within a fast evolving Highways Team and playing a pivotal role in the management of the road network, the successful candidate will be an experienced Network Manager who will be responsible for managing the co-ordination of street works, minimising congestion around the borough and liaising with stakeholders. You will also manage the team of skilled professionals, assisting the Highways Team in delivering the modernisation agenda for the network management function.

Main Responsibilities

To actively manage the Network Management Team and the co-ordination of street works, and the development of Thurrock’s street works management processes.

Key Skills and Experience

You will be experienced in highway maintenance and highway works including the application of statutory processes in accordance with NRSWA 1991, preferably experienced in the use of Symology.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have appropriate knowledge of Health and Safety legislation including Construction, Design and Management Regulations and Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual and have experience of managing a team providing a reactive service.
